Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett has ordered workers to remove all the façade panels remaining on the MacArthur Square parking garage, the city's public works chief said Friday.And rightly so. It's a frigging parking garage, not the Taj Mahal.
Meanwhile in the county government bailiwick:
"The problems that appear to have come to light are things that would not have been readily available with a sight inspection, short of knowing what to look for," county executive Scott Walker told reporters.One might hope building inspectors would know what to look for.
There you have your two candidates for governor of Wisconsin: one is taking affirmative measures while the other is making excuses.

Barrett started the removal more than a year ago, while Walker was still trying to lay off the last structural engineer in county employee.
